Soft Tissue Masses
Soft tissue masses are abnormal growths found in the foot and ankle that are not made of bone. Some of the more common masses seen in the foot and ankle include ganglion cysts and plantar fibromas, both of which are benign. Malignant tumors (cancerous) are exceedingly rare in the foot and ankle. If you are experiencing a lump or bump on your foot or ankle, this should be evaluated by a foot and ankle specialist for prompt diagnosis.
