Minimally Invasive Surgery/Arthroscopy

Ankle joint arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure to address issues in the ankle joint through two small portals. One of the portals allows for insertion of a small camera into the joint to allow for visualization of the pathology. The other portal allows for insertion of instrumentation (like a “grasper” to remove a loose, free-floating fragment of tissue/bone).

See my blog entry on ankle joint arthroscopy for more information about this procedure.
