Lonny Nodelman
DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Lonny Nodelman is the founder/owner and podiatrist at District Foot and Ankle located in Alexandria, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC.

Dr. Nodelman specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle sports medicine like ankle sprains, stress fractures, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendinitis, and other injuries.

He also treats deformities of the foot and ankle including bunion deformities and hammertoes.

Limb salvage is also a large part of his practice which means that he treats diabetic foot ulcers, wounds, infections, bone infections and uses advanced techniques like in-office skin grafting.

The goal of sports medicine is to give athletes the best chance possible when they’re on their feet. There’s no one-size fits all approach, though; Dr Nodelman has an active lifestyle and likes staying in shape by running, biking or chasing after his kids! He keeps his eye out for new techniques that will help him treat patients faster while still being able provide them with everything needed during recovery time – like shockwave treatment and platelet-rich plasma injections.

You can expect a thorough medical history, physical examination, imaging and most importantly an understanding of your diagnosis and treatment options. If you are struggling with a foot and ankle issue we are here to help you get back on your feet.

About Our Office

District Foot and Ankle is an independent, modern practice that blends the best of science with personalized care. We are located in Alexandria, Virginia and offer high-quality foot and ankle care for you and your family.

Dr. Lonny Nodelman opened District Foot and Ankle in 2019 after noticing how many practices were being taken over by hospital systems or larger corporations. He wanted to build a practice where patients would be treated like people, not numbers; where they could get excellent medical care without feeling rushed or pressured to make decisions about their health; where they’d feel comfortable asking questions or requesting second opinions because everyone deserves the right to know what’s going on with their body!

We are proud of the fact that we have gained a reputation as one-of-a kind clinic dedicated to providing patients with high quality care. Our specialty is sports medicine of the foot and ankle but we also provide corrective surgeries of the foot and ankle.

Diabetic foot care is also a large part of our practice treating wounds, ulcers, infections, bone infections and preventing amputation.
